Top Tips To Getting Back On Track After Overindulging

I’m sure a lot of you would have over indulged a bit over this long weekend and are probably out of your normal routine. We are all allowed to eat treats especially during a holiday period, I mean who can resist those white Easter eggs and the good old marshmallow eggs! I certainly can’t.

It’s important to know that you should by no means feel guilty if you have had a few too many chocolate eggs or glasses of wine! However here are a few tips to getting back onto your healthy journey.

Drink plenty of water

The first thing you should do after a bit of over indulging is get back into drinking lots of water. A nice cold glass of water first thing in the morning will kick start your metabolism. Make sure you try and drink at least 2 litres of water a day.

Don’t think that because you have eaten too many chocolates you need to work out even more. All you need to do is be consistent and go back to your normal routine. The results will come.

Watch your food intake

It may be a good idea to plan your meals for the week ahead and make sure you include a lot of fruit and veggies. Green vegetables are especially important! There is no need to starve yourself – just keep your meals balanced.

Most importantly, accept that it is okay to enjoy a weekend of treats every now and again!
